Travel Protection Planning
i
Greece 2027 Planning Resource
This page preserves information originally shared
with our Greece 2027 travelers. Insurance products,
benefits, exclusions, eligibility requirements,
pricing, and time-sensitive purchase provisions may
change. Always review the actual policy documents
and current plan information before purchasing.
An Important Planning Decision
Think About Protection Before You Need It
Travel protection is optional, but Our Family Travel
strongly recommends considering it for a major
international vacation such as Greece.
At this stage of planning, not every trip expense
may be known yet. Airfare, excursions, tours,
pre-cruise arrangements, and other costs can affect
the total amount you may ultimately want to protect.
That means you do not need to choose a plan simply
because you are reading this page—but this is the
right time to begin understanding your options.
The Goal
Make an informed decision.
Travel protection is not one-size-fits-all. The right
choice depends on your trip costs, health coverage,
personal circumstances, risk tolerance, and the
benefits and exclusions of the plan being considered.
Understanding the Choices
Two General Types of Protection
The original Greece 2027 newsletter introduced two
broad approaches: protection offered through the
cruise line and comprehensive third-party travel
insurance.
Option 1
Cruise-Line Protection
A cruise-line protection program can be a
convenient option because it is associated
directly with the cruise reservation.
Things to Review
What expenses are actually covered.
Cancellation benefits and how benefits
are paid.
Emergency medical coverage limits.
Emergency evacuation limits.
Whether independently booked travel
arrangements are included.
Option 2
Third-Party Travel Insurance
Comprehensive third-party travel insurance may
provide broader benefits and can potentially
protect more components of an international trip,
depending on the policy selected.
Plans May Offer
Emergency medical coverage.
Medical evacuation benefits.
Covered trip-cancellation benefits.
Trip-interruption benefits.
Optional Cancel For Any Reason coverage
on eligible plans.
Why This Trip Deserves Extra Thought
Greece Has More Moving Parts Than a Simple Getaway
This itinerary combines an international cruise,
overseas flights, multiple ports, ground
transportation, and potentially separately booked
tours or pre-cruise arrangements.
01
International Air
Flight delays, missed connections, and schedule
changes can affect an international itinerary.
02
Multiple Destinations
The cruise visits several ports and islands,
creating more components than a single-destination
vacation.
03
Medical Care Abroad
Travelers should understand how their personal
health insurance works outside the United States
and what expenses may not be covered.
04
Medical Evacuation
Emergency transportation or evacuation can be a
significant consideration when traveling among
islands and international destinations.
Compare More Than Price
What Should You Look At?
The least expensive plan is not automatically the
best fit. Compare what the policy actually provides
and how those benefits relate to your trip.
Medical
Emergency Medical Coverage
Review the coverage amount, exclusions, and how
the policy coordinates with your regular health
coverage.
Evacuation
Emergency Transportation
Compare medical evacuation and emergency
transportation benefit limits.
Cancellation
Covered Trip Cancellation
Review the covered reasons, reimbursement terms,
and which prepaid trip expenses are insured.
Interruption
Trip Interruption
Consider what happens if a covered event causes
you to interrupt the trip after departure.
Trip Cost
What You Are Insuring
Cruise fare may be only one component. Airfare,
hotels, tours, and other prepaid arrangements may
also need to be considered.
Eligibility
Time-Sensitive Benefits
Some benefits or upgrades may require purchase
within a specified period. Review eligibility
rules before deciding to wait.
Optional Coverage
What About Cancel For Any Reason?
Some eligible travel insurance plans may offer a
Cancel For Any Reason—often called CFAR—upgrade.
CFAR is different from standard covered-cancellation
benefits and typically has its own eligibility,
purchase-timing, cancellation-timing, and
reimbursement provisions.
CFAR can be time-sensitive.
If this type of coverage interests you, ask about it
early rather than waiting until shortly before
departure.
The decision whether to purchase travel protection
belongs to each traveler. Our role is to help you
understand the available options and the questions
you should ask before deciding.

When the Time Comes
We Will Provide Protection Information
As the trip develops and additional costs become known,
Greece 2027 travelers can review travel-protection
options based on the trip arrangements they want to
insure.
If you would like help comparing available options,
coverage amounts, or policy features, Our Family Travel
can help you review them side by side.
If You Choose Not to Purchase Coverage
Greece 2027 Travel Insurance Waiver
Travel protection remains optional. However,
travelers in the Greece 2027 group who formally
decline travel protection will be required to
complete the applicable Travel Insurance Waiver.
The waiver documents your decision to decline
coverage and confirms your acknowledgment of that
decision.
Important
If a waiver is required for your reservation,
follow the instructions and deadline provided by
Our Family Travel. Failure to complete required
group documentation by the applicable deadline
may affect your reservation.
Prices, promotions, accommodations, itineraries,
inclusions, availability, and travel requirements are
subject to change until a reservation is confirmed.
Supplier terms, cancellation policies, and restrictions apply.
